Interestingly enough, this is a subject my husband and I would joke about. We thought of ourselves as role reversed -- I was the data-seeker, and he was the warm listener. I'm glad to be recognized as a credit to my own sex for a change.
I'm about 45 % male :op
You know, I think you and dad were very similar on both those points. You both are very good listeners and you both got really interested in details, just about different things: Dad- gadgets, medical stuff,etc. You- situations, relationships, etc.
At least that's how I see it :)
